![]() It can't accept any string which ends with 1, because it will never go to the final state q1 on 1 input, so the string ending with 1, will not be accepted or will be rejected. It can accept any string which ends with 0 like 00, 10, 110, 100.etc. I realized that the ORed startswith wouldnt work in either case for transactions that contain both, since the contract is that we start a new transaction when startswith is satisfied. Calculate the speed by dividing the values in the distance field by the values in the time field. Create a new field called speed in each event. Create a new field that contains the result of a calculation. See Quick Reference for SPL2 eval functions. startswith A search or eval-filtering expression which, if satisfied by an event, marks the beginning of a new transaction. If the value is negative, the maxspause constraint is disabled. ![]() In the above diagram, we can see that on given 0 as input to DFA in state q0, the DFA changes state to q1. We are trying to capture transaction timings of when a message is created to when its completed. Many of these examples use the evaluation functions. Requires there be no pause between the events within the transaction greater than maxpause.
